Turning an abandoned gravel pit into a community asset is advantageous for everyone. But using previously developed land for new construction is an important hallmark of green design.
BTGA has completed the design and permit-level drawings for this 168-unit apartment community in Coventry, RI. Comprised of one building type, with a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, this new community will provide workforce housing for the surrounding area. Twenty percent of the units will be deeded as affordable units that will count toward Coventry's state housing requirements.
Each of the seven apartment buildings stands three stories tall with a basement for resident storage, all connected by an elevator. The project also includes a 3,000-square-foot Clubhouse amenity building where tenants can access a 24-hour exercise room, business center, Great Room, TV area, and a kitchen.
