The RIC Career Development Center started with an under-utilized alumni lounge and adjacent line of offices. These were renovated to develop a highly visible suite where students could access technology to create resumes and apply for jobs, attend career-seeking presentations, and meet with staff to review financial needs.


BTGA worked with numerous user-groups and stakeholders to address their needs and worked these changing needs into the design throughout the process. The aesthetic design invites potential employers into the College to connect with students and future graduates through a professional palette.


Staying within the Owner's budget, we worked with the Contractor to address unforeseen in-wall conditions in a timely manner. Construction took place in an occupied building where noise needed to be limited and auditorium schedules needed to be worked around. Spaces still in use were kept clean and safe throughout construction.
