The Rhode Island College Career Development Center started with an under-utilized alumni lounge and adjacent line of offices. These were renovated to develop a highly visible campus presence. This suite allow students to access technology to create resumes and apply for jobs, attend career-seeking presentations, and meet with staff to review financial needs.

BTGA worked with numerous user-groups and stakeholders to address their needs and utilized a design process that integrated these varied requirements into the final design. Thepalette of materials developed invites potential employers into the College to connect with students and future graduates.

While staying within the Owner's budget and schedule, BTGA and the Contractor were required to address additional concealed field issues. Construction took place in an occupied building where noise needed to be limited and auditorium schedules needed to be worked around. Spaces still in use were kept clean and safe throughout construction.
