BTGA is hiring an architectural PROJECT MANAGER/JOB CAPTAIN
Brewster Thornton Group Architects, a design-oriented firm in the heart of Providence, seeks an experienced Project Manager/Job Captain who will champion a variety of architectural projects.
Our Project Manager/Job Captain will join our energetic team of 13 specialized professionals and fulfill a crucial role, helping to bring projects from concept development through construction administration. The position enjoys a comfortable work environment, strong partner support, and a good company benefits package. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a full-time Project Manager/Job Captain position with some flexibility in hours but requires a daily presence in the office; it is not a long-distance opportunity.

-Bachelor’s (5 years) and/or Master’s degree in Architecture
-Licensed or pursuing licensure, preferred
-Five or more years of experience in various types of projects, including institutional and residential projects, preferred
-Construction administration experience with $1- to $10-million-dollar projects
-Sound knowledge of construction systems, building and fire codes, and bid documents
-Efficient coordination of structural, mechanical and electrical drawings
-Congenial and professional management of a project team, including junior staff, internal colleagues, external contractors, clients, and stakeholders
-Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required. Occasional travel to project sites is necessary.
-Specification writing is a plus.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup, preferred
