Employee Spotlight

Christine Shea

Carving her own path at BTGA, Christine has taken on many roles simultaneously. As an Associate, a Project Manager, and our Marketing Director, she is an invaluable member of the team who makes a real difference in the lives of our clients. Christine’s focus on Community Buildings comes from a deep connection to public service: her father was a firefighter, and she served on her Town Planning Board for three years. Christine is always striving to make this world a better place.

Community Studio Leader

Christine has worked with multiple local municipalities to make their buildings modern, functional, and accessible to the public. She has a superior ability to pinpoint the needs of a building’s occupants through her understanding of the constraints of budget, schedule, and overall, good design. Christine works hard to make sure her designs have a positive impact on our clients and all who use them. She derives her greatest satisfaction from seeing the joy of users when they experience their new space.

LEED Certified

As a LEED-certified designer, Christine always has her eye on green building and sustainability. She loves the natural world—her garden is her happy place— and she recognizes the importance of integrating green design with architecture. She has said that if she was not a designer, she would work to create a non-profit to make the world more sustainable. As such, it makes sense that Christine’s dream project would be to design a zoo. She has a huge passion for animals (wanting to be a zoologist when she grew up) and her study of environmental design, in concert with her devotion to community engagement, would lend itself well to such an endeavor.

Associate/Office Mentor

BTGA’s Associates are the foundation of our firm. As an Associate, Christine is integral to our training and mentoring. She is always willing to offer a helping hand. She was once told “You don’t know what you don’t know,” and she has accepted that advice as encouragement to always ask questions and explore new ideas. She knows that you never stop learning in this line of work and readily shares her knowledge and guidance with others. We are so appreciative of Christine and everything she does to contribute to the community, the environment, and the success of BTGA! Thank you, Christine!
