Barefoot Way
This new seaside house on Cape Cod is designed to convey a sense of solidity and timelessness while masking its true size from the entrance side of the house. The two towers anchor the front of the house to the site while framing the main front door. The covered breezeway connects the house to the guest space above the garage while creating a rainy day playroom upstairs for the children. All the rooms are strung along the expanse of the water for their own views.
The photos show the wealth of detail which has been tucked around the house to make it welcoming and functional. A wetbar is tucked unobtrusively beside the living room fireplace. Large pantries mean less trips to the store. A laundry room beside the back door keeps beach laundry from going all over the house.
Truly a house that will be a legacy to the family!
