Specialists in adaptive reuse
and masonry restoration, Brewster Thornton Group Architects (BTGA) is
currently working with Brown University, the University of Rhode
Island, Johnson & Wales University, The Diocese of Providence, and
the Bristol Town Council, and our principals have additional experience
with Rhode Island College, the Housing Authority of the City of
Providence, and other area educational, non-profit, and religious
institutions.
BTGA recently completed a
Community Center for the Providence Housing Authority, and has designed
gathering/public spaces for churches, schools, and non-profit

Our reuse of an historic block of
period buildings for the Elmwood Foundation received the Providence
Preservation Society's Award for Neighborhood Revitalization. Our
design of Johnson & Wales' Center for Entrepreneurship was awarded
their Executive Suite Award of Appreciation.
